"Out of Sight" Campaign launches in Kamloops

Kamloops, B.C. – In the interest of reducing theft from auto and continuing to develop community partnerships, Kamloops Community Safety is launching the "Out of Sight" campaign to remind the public to secure their valuables while shopping.

The "Out of Sight" campaign is a Lock-Out Auto Crime initiative that has been developed by Kamloops Community Safety to educate consumers about the potential risk of theft from vehicles. Strip malls, parking lots and curbside parking are all prime target areas for thieves.

Community Safety is using stickers to convey the simple message of securing your valuables. They are asking Kamloops retailers to put the campaign stickers on their retail bags, demonstrating their commitment to community safety.

Anyone who receives the sticker can access the City website to enter to win a prize. Retail gift cards will be drawn weekly for the month of December and bi-weekly commencing in January.

The "Out of Sight" campaign launches on December 1st, so keep your eyes open for the campaign stickers while shopping around town!
