Fire Ban Rescinded in Kamloops

Kamloops, B.C. - As of September 27, 2011, the city-wide fire ban is now rescinded due to the favourable weather conditions and the wildfire danger rating has changed to 'Low'.

As a reminder, any open burning within the City of Kamloops and Kamloops Indian Band requires a permit. Anyone burning without a permit will be subject to a fine minimum of $500. Please remember that the Wildland Urban Interface areas are still dry so ensure to take precautions when having an open fire.

For additional permit information, please call 250-372-5131 or visit www.kamloops.ca/firerescue.
