Road Closures for H.O.G. Thunder in the Valley Parade

Kamloops, B.C. - This Saturday Kamloops is host to the Harley Owners Group of Canada's Thunder in the Valley. Riders will be starting the rally with a parade around the city. The motorcycle parade will start at the McArthur Island Sports & Event Centre parking lot at 10:30 am, with the first rider returning at approximately 11:00 am.

When the riders return to McArthur Island, they will ride the perimeter road before arriving back to the parking lot. Please be advised that between 11:00 am and approximately 11:30 am, there will be no access on or off the Island. This includes access to and from the Sports Centre Parking lot as vehicles will not be permitted to cross the parade while it is in progress.

In addition to the closures at McArthur Island, please also note that there will be temporary lane closures in the following areas on August 27th between 10:00 am 12:00 pm. Motorists are advised that they will experience significant delays in the following areas and all feeder roads:

Motorists are strongly recommended to use the Halston Bridge to avoid delays as traffic patterns will be modified for the event. Please use caution when driving in the vicinity and obey all traffic control devices and traffic control people. For more information please call 250-828-3392.
