Mission Flats Road and Landfill Remains Closed

Kamloops, B.C. - Mission Flats Road still remains closed as repairs to the City of Kamloops main liquid waste pumping station on Mission Flats Road are ongoing. Access to businesses located along Mission Flats Road will be allowed. The City will advise when the road will be re-opening to the public.

The City's Mission Flats landfill will remain closed on Monday, July 18th to the general public but will be open to city and commercial collection trucks. The public, contractors and companies who normally use the Mission Flats landfill to dispose of waste are asked to use the Barnhartvale landfill located at the end of Eliza Road. The Barnhartvale landfill will be open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; please note that this landfill accepts cash only.

The City of Kamloops will provide more information on the main liquid waste pumping station repairs and cleanup as they become available.
