Kamloops, B.C. - Move for Health Day is an international initiative created by the World Health Organization in 2002 to promote physical activity. In BC, this event is spearheaded by the BC Recreation and Parks Association, which promotes the benefits of healthy active living and provides participants with tools and resources. This year, the City of Kamloops is encouraging all residents to participate in a minimum of 20 minutes of physical activity on May 10th.
The City of Kamloops is offering the following activities for Move for Health Day:
The City is also working with the School District to have all the elementary schools engage kids in 20 minutes of physical activity on May 10th.
