Kamloops, B.C. - The City has initiated a process to prepare a new Parks Master Plan. The previous master plan was prepared in 2003 and is no longer relevant. The Parks Master Plan will provide a framework for decisions related to parkland, park development, outdoor recreation and park management, for implementation over the next 10 years.
The first phase of the planning process is to collect information and input from the community so that the plan can be responsive to residents' interests. The City has developed a survey available at www.kamloops.ca/surveys. As the information gathered from this survey will be used in the development of the master plan, the Parks, Recreational and Cultural Services Department encourages participation from the public. The survey closes on May 16th, 2011.
