Kamloops, BC - The City of Kamloops advises that the three municipal employees who are alleged to have participated along with four RCMP officers in viewing a sex act in the RCMP jail cell, were suspended with pay late last week when Administration was advised of the situation.
The suspension will stay in effect pending the outcome of the RCMP investigation. The City's next steps will be to review the RCMP investigation results and then take whatever actions are appropriate in accordance with labour law and the terms of the Collective Agreement with CUPE.
Actions that can be taken range from reinstatement to their positions, letter of reprimand, suspension without pay, to termination.
