Commemorative Art Competition

The Kamloops Museum has been a part of the community since 1937, celebrating and showcasing our fascinating, local history. In 2010, the Kamloops Children's Museum was unveiled and founded on the belief that learning can be fun and engaging for children and adults alike. The Museum also believes that history can be displayed and interpreted through a variety of methods including visual, manual, interactive, and creative.

2012 marks 200 years of shared history between the local First Nations group, the Secwepemc, and non-Natives living in the area. In celebration of this milestone, the Kamloops Museum & Archives is hosting an art competition called "2 Peoples, 2 Rivers, 200 Years – Commemorative Art Competition".
