Ways To Vote
Advance Voting
If you know you will not be able to vote on general voting day, you may vote
on one of the 3 advance voting days.
Where to Vote
On general voting day, voting places are open 8 am to 8 pm. Voting places will be advertised
in local newspapers and on our website in September 2011.
Voting by Mail
Mail ballot voting is only available to those electors who have a physical disability,
illness or injury that prevents them from voting at another voting opportunity, or persons who
expect to be absent from the city on advance voting days. Those
requiring assistance in voting may telephone the Legislative Services Division at
250-828-3483 to obtain information on accessible voting places, receiving assistance
in voting, or making application for mail ballot voting.
Special Voting Opportunities
Some people will be able to vote in a medical or assisted-living facility. A
schedule of visitations will be posted in your facility. To find out more information,
contact the Legislative Services Division at 250-828-3483.
