Fortune Drive Maintenance



    August 29 - Sept 23

    • City crews will be doing repair work on Fortune Drive between Oak Street and the Overlanders Bridge.
    • Traffic will be single lane alternating during work hours (9:00 am - 4:00 pm).
    • Both lanes will be open overnight, however, pavement will be uneven.
    • August 29 - Sept 13: Southbound*.
    • Sept 13 through Sept 23: Northbound*.
    • *weather dependent.
    • Please use caution when driving in the area. Expect delays and plan accordingly.

     


    Pacific Way Upgrades



      July 11 - November 2016
      Updates Sept 23:
    • Please note effective Sept 4: Transit routes will be redirected at Howe Road & Van Horne Drive - please check www.bctransit.com for schedule and route information.
    • There is a full closure of Pacific Way between Howe Road and Greystone Crescent, with access permitted only to local and emergency traffic.
    • Minor disruptions can be expected on the remainder of Pacific Way.
    • Week of Sept 26: Water tie-ins will continue. Affected residents will be given 48 hours notice of any disruption to water service.

    • Driveway access to businesses and residents will be maintained throughout the project.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be accommodated during construction with safe walking facilities.
    • Transit service will be maintained to the area, although there will be disruption to transit stops and routes. Please see below.
    • The majority of the work will take place Monday to Saturday, with some night work possible.
    • Hours of work will be 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

     

    A reminder to all motorists that the posted speed in construction zones is 30 km/hr.

  • Outbound stops on Pacific Way between Howe Road and Greystone Cresent will be closed to service commencing July 18th and may be reopened Sept 30th.
  • All passengers should expect delays in the service schedule due to re-routing and flagging at intersections.  Plan accordingly.

    Richmond Avenue Reconstruction

      Updates Sept 23:
    • Week of Sept 25: Installation of storm infrastructure at 7th St and Richmond Ave.
    • Installation of gravel base between 7th Ave and Schubert Drive.

    • Project Information:
    • Occasional partial or total road closures will be required to complete the work.
    • Driveway access to residents and businesses may be temporarily restricted to accommodate construction; we regret any inconvenience this may cause.
    • Residential garbage collection will not be affected.
    • The majority of the work will take place Monday to Saturday, with some night work possible.
    • Hours of work will be 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
