Parks staff are responsible for maintaining snow and ice control for municipal properties which consists of public buildings, parks, community centres and their walkways.

The basic rule of thumb is this; the busier the street and the steeper it is, the higher the priority to keep it as bare as possible and return them to bare pavement within 4 hours after it stops snowing.
