Fire Prevention Week

Each year local Firefighters and School District 73 team up to promote fire safety to children in grades 1 to 3. Students learn about smoke alarms, basic fire prevention by learning what to do in the event of a fire and developing a Home Escape Plan.

This years' theme is "Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With".

The lucky student spends the day with Kamloops Fire Rescue experiencing a range of fire fighting duties and learning valuable fire safety lessons. Panago Pizza continues to be a proud supporter of this program, and provides lunch to the winning class of "Fire Chief For The Day".
