North Shore Neighbourhood Plan
Welcome to the Final Stage of the preparation of the North Shore Neighbourhood Plan. The first draft of the North Shore Neighbourhood Plan is now available for review to provide an opportunity for input and feedback from the public.

The North Shore Neighbourhood Plan focuses on the following:

retaining existing community identity
supporting the creation of a new Towne Centre
transforming the Tranquille Market to a functionging Village District
supporting good urban, site and building design
increasing densities in key areas
supporting new zoning regulations that are specific to the North Shore
suporting green streets
using innovative development incentives
encouraging sustainable development, eco-roofs and natural stormwater systems, and
showcasing the benefits and unique qualities of the North Shore

This draft will be presented to Council at the 2008 May 27 regular Council meeting and will be available soon.
