How do I find someone interment/burial site over the web site?
Internet search is available at this time, and our computer records of people interred in Kamloops cemeteries date back more than 100 years.

What are the things I need in a cemetery arrangement?
You need purchase grave space, plot or niche; opening/closing services; a grave liner; memorial marker or monument i.e. either granite or bronze.

How much less expensive is cremation in comparison to casket services?
Cemetery cremation options can be much less expensive than for caskets. A single casket burial package starts at $1,887.48 including GST and does not include a memorial marker or flower pot setting.

The Garden of Memories cremation package (remains dispersed in a commingled chamber with no committal service) including name bar installed cost approximately $800.00 plus GST.

A similar single cremation burial package with committal service without memorial marker or flower pot installed can cost $609.00 plus GST.

What is a columbarium?
It is defined as a collection of recessed above ground compartments. A family purchases one of these compartments (called a niche). The niche provides space to inter one or more cremated remains. It may have a closed front face plate made of marble, granite or bronze, and or show case glass front.

What denominations do municipal cemeteries serve?
Hillside and Pleasant Street Cemeteries are considered non-denominational cemeteries accommodating the needs of all cultural needs and religions, and is also open to accommodate special interest groups. One such group is the Canadian Arm Forces with a recently developed Veterans Memorial Plaza.
