Cultural Strategy
Kamloops' blueprint for cultural development is a comprehensive strategy recognizing the diversity of
the cultural sector in Kamloops,
from small to large, amateur to professional and
representing every conceivable genre from the visual arts, to heritage, the performing
arts and cultural industries.
Our Cultural Strategic Plan looks at how the sector can continue to contribute to the quality
of life of Kamloops residents and encouraging public involvement in arts and heritage as
participants, supporters and audience.
BC Festival of the Arts Legacy Fund
Assisting Kamloops residents (individuals or groups) for development, presentation or competition in
the various fields of visual, performing, literary, media and interdisciplinary arts.
Application deadline: Quarterly.
Boogie the Bridge Cultural Fund
Designed to foster cultural growth of children and youth between the
ages of 5 to 18 (years) who are in financial need. Funds are awarded based on needs and merit.
Application deadline: 6 weeks prior to program date.
Community Art Grants
Funding is available to help non-profit organizatins with projects that support
the promotion of arts and arts awareness within the community. Application Deadline: 4:30 pm Apr 9, 2010.
